It won’t be long now. You’ve been holding on and being as discreet as possible for weeks, but it’s just about time for someone — and this time, it won’t be you — to let the cat out of the bag.

Wait a minute, Astrology.com, this sounds familiar. As in YESTERDAY!

You’ve been sitting on this one for weeks — and maybe even months. You were sure that all parties concerned would be discreet — but now it seems that you’re the only person still willing to keep quiet. Keep at it.

I suppose you were really hoping that I had some kind of secret news that I was holding back. Like what? My wife being pregnant? Sorry. No secrets there. One is enough right now.

Besides, I’m terrible at keeping secrets. There is absolutely nothing I’m sitting on, no cats in the bag. Sorry to bum you out like that, Astrology.com, but you’re just going to have to drop this one.

Oh, wait. There is that one thing…

I would like to do it like that, like other people seem to do it, but I can’t quite manage. It’s not that what I do is in a small way, but it’s definitely not in a big way. I guess, even with all the schooling I’ve had, I’ve never really learned how to do something in a big way.

I’ve gotten close a couple of times. I’m a little short on examples right now, but I know there have been times when people complimented me on my doing something in a fairly large fashion.

Maybe it’s just timing. You know how someone does something, something above average in size, and you think to yourself, “I could have done that,” but you didn’t, and the person who did do it did it at a time when no one else was doing it, and so it looked big because there was nothing else to compare it to, but you swear you had that idea before, and if you had done it, it would have made their doing it look meager in comparison.

When you get one of those ideas, take it as big as you can. That’s what I’ve learned.
