Thinking outside the thought

We all know the answer but we usually have forgotten the question by the time we prepare our answer. In fact, we had our answer before you even asked the question. We were staring at the sky to get the correct wording of our prepared answer in order to be ready to defend our position.

Our position is firm, entrenched. We gather in all the earth we can reach in order to further plant ourselves as true believers. The deeper we go, the less chance you have of making us sway. To sway is to be flexible and we would rather break than give in to your wind.

We are right and that is that. Life goes on around us, but we remain entrenched within our ways, oblivious to the changes of time.

How to make a grown man cry

Start by taking him to a place where he is not likely going to think about crying. In this case, the Mississippi Pizza Pub.

Find him a nice table with other people, several of whom he knows. Showcase a group of belly dancers, one of whom he knows.

Make sure his two-year-old daughter is there watching the belly dancers.

Have the sun be setting and create an opportunity to have several shafts of light visible between him and the stage where the belly dancers are performing.

Make sure there is plenty of dust swirling in the air, visible in the previously mentioned shafts of sunlight.

Have the belly dancers perform a number to one of the songs from the Whale Rider soundtrack.

Make sure he is staring at the swirling bits of dust (and not the belly dancers) while listening to the song from the Whale Rider soundtrack.

If this is the case, he will most likely remember the part of the movie where the little girl rides the back of the whale and goes underwater, light sparkling off bits of stuff in the water, just like the light reflecting off the dust he is watching swirl in the air.

Commence crying.
